The Museum's information board states that this aircraft was homebuilt by Mr Joe Callus, from Mqabba, Malta, to the Bensen BM8 design. It was never flown, owing to Mr Callus's age when he completed it, and in April 2007 he and his wife donated it to the Malta Aviation Museum.

These substantial remains were recovered during excavations for building work in Luqa in February 2023. According to the Malta Aviation Museum, Werk Nummer 8668, which is carried on the wing root, corresponds to a Bf 109F-4/Z of 5/JG3 which crashed during a raid over Malta on April 1st, 1942. Unteroffizier Hans Pilz was at the controls, pursuing an RAF fighter at low level when his Messerschmitt took hits, presumably from ground fire, and bellied in on a farm. Pilz survived the crash relatively unscathed, despite the aircraft flipping on its back; he spent the rest of the war in a POW camp.

MM81145, in the markings of 9 Stormo "Francesco Baracca", has been donated to the Malta Aviation Museum and is now on permanent display, Ta' Qali. The helicopter arrived at the Museum by trailer on 13 October 2021 and was officially presented on 1 June 2022. MM81145 is no new-comer to Malta, as it served with the Italian Military Mission in past years.

Making a rare appearance outside the Malta Aviation Museum hangar; has been completely restored by the Museum and is in airworthy condition.

Fairly cramped conditions here, but the Beech is overlooked by DC-3 (which is also awaiting restoration) - with the wing of the G-91 at the front.

Built locally from original plans in 1996, the Museum's single-seat Le Pou du Ciel H.M.14 is a replica of the 14th Model of the famous aircraft. Power is provided by a converted Citroen 2CV four-stroke vehicle engine.
