This Lockheed Marietta built P-3C-III+ (test registration N4099R) is known as US Navy FMS BuNo 165104. The Orion was delivered as 950908 to the Republic of Korean Navy on 23 Dec'95. It started its career with the 61 Patrol Air Group, 615 Squadron "Sea Eagles" at Pohang. Check the two live AGM-84A HARPOONS underneath the wings as well as two live Mk36 Destructor Mines (or later generation Mk62 Quickstrike) bombs. These employ standard Mk82 bomb bodies with Mk15 Snakeye retarding tails, adding an acounstic/magnetic influence fuze. The P-3s will be replaced by the P-8 Poseidon from 2025.

A very nice visitor at Pohang, although far away from the camera, the Lynx turned in to one of the massive platforms of Pohang. Although 25 Lynx' are delivered to South Korea between 1990 and 2000, they are a rare breed to see. This Mk99A was first seen with Westland at Yeovilton (UK) as ZJ551 in May 2000. It was one of the last delivered Lynx to the 62 Maritime Helicopter Group, 629 Flight Squadron of the Daehan Minguk Haegun (Republic of Korea Naval Aviation) at Jinhae naval base.

While approaching homebase Seongnam (Seoul air base), this VIP Black Hawk decided last minute to turn straight over the camera. So not the best click, but still a fine VH-60P. The S-70A-22 used Sikorsky test registration N7268M before it was delivered to the RoKAF as VH-60P 01595. The registration N7268M was cancelled from US register on 24 May 1993, so most probably the Black Hawk was soon after that date delivered to South Korea.

The RoKAF operates with three different CN235 colour schemes, these quite boring grey ones, the more tactical ones in a dark green camouflaged and the ones in a white with red and blue cheatline VIP colourscheme. This grey light transporter was first flown in May 1994 and delivered as 087 to the RoKAF in June 1994. The CASA was reserialled to 30-087 by April 2007. The large elephant badge on the nose reveals it belongs to the 256 Tactical Air Transport Squadron which is based at Seoul air base.
