The KAI KTX-1 turboprop trainer first flew in 1991. It has several differences compared to the later KT-1 production aircraft: smaller, lighter, different tail surfaces and a different engine. This is the 2nd prototype which, since 2000, is preserved in the Seoul war museum, just marked as "KTX-1".

This Alouette III in fact is 770301. It had been preserved here as such at least until 2018 (Air History has pics of the helicopter with its original serial). No idea why they changed the identity. The c/n plate shows that it really is 770301. This photo was made after sunset when the museum's lights illuminate the aircraft.

This Bird Dog in fact is 50-1488 which was delivered to the US Army in 1951 to be shipped to Japan. It later went to South Korea, although not much of the history of this aircraft is known. It is also unclear why it wears "90538", which is not a Bird Dog serial.

This former USMC Corsair first went to the US civil registry as N5219V in 1959. It was intended for the Honduras AF but was never delivered. After a period of storage in Blythe, CA, the aircraft was transferred to Tucson, AZ, where it was dismantled in 1973 and prepared for shipment to the Korean Aviation/War Museum in Seoul in 1974. Later, it was moved to its current location at Sacheon.

Former US Army helicopter that had been transferred to South Korea by 1977 as there is a fantastic picture of this helicopter from that year on Air History. At least since 2002 it has been preserved at the KAI museum, in exact the same colours it had in 1977.

This former USAF Provider had originally been built as a C-123B but was later converted to C-123J. It was placed in storage at MASDC in 1976 and delivered to the RoKAF the following year. Since 1995 it is on display in the Seoul war museum. Seen here after sunset and after a fresh paint job.

Beaver 58600 is a mystery. Given how South Korea's Beavers were serialled one would think this is 55-8600, but that serial does not exist, nor is there any option in the fy58 range. One report suggests this is in fact 82073 (58-2073, c/n 1406/1954), which was noted in 2011 at the Daejeon army camp. Perhaps it was moved to the cemetary and repainted with a fake serial?

The identity of this F-86F is unclear. Given its current serial, the obvious candidate is 55-3833 (c/n 227-18). This F-86F was delivered to Japan as JASDF 62-7439. Many former JASDF aircraft went to South Korea. However, according to Joe Baugher's website this aircraft went to Tunisia under MAP in 1969. The Scramble database mentions this aircraft under Tunisia with only the 1969 delivery date as the first and last noted date but lists its JASDF serial as FMS serial. I suspect that there is a real chance that 55-3833 in fact went to RoKAF and is on display now in the Grand Park.
