B.O.A.C.'s VC-10, the latest in high-speed jetliners, provides a new silhouette in the sky with its "clean" aerodynamic design, rear mounted engines and space age tail unit..." First flew 8 November 1962, delivered 8 December 1964. Nigeria Airways 29 September 1969, crashed 20 November 1969 on approach to Lagos.

Negative from FNG archive. On many occasions fog or snow at Munich Riem would result in diversions to the first alternate Nuremberg. Lufthansa had only taken delivery of their first 727 earlier the year while the remaining two Starliners were used on domestic services. Two Viscounts are also visible.

Reregistered VH-UEF in September 1970.

Withdrawn from use in 1967. Restored as VH-UAZ in 1970.

VH-MJR completed three years of aerial survey in Australia before being sold to MacRobertson Miller Airlines as VH-MMT in 1965.

G-ASOF was flown to Australia to be demonstrated to potential buyers. It returned to the UK and was sold in the US in 1980.
