Prewar civil DH82 (G-ADLU) that was shipped to the Royal New Zealand Air Force in 1940. Serial NZ735. To the South Canterbury Aero Club in January 1948 registered ZK-ARJ. Still current at the time of upload. This Tiger Moth is reported to have suffered 13 accidents over its long career, four with the RNZAF and the remainder in civilian hands. Ex RAF FD901. Served BEA from Oct.1949 / August 1964. Leased to Cambria Airways. Then later registered in Cyprus as 5B-CBD. Photographed here in my home City Cardiff in 1967.

This Douglas C-47A Skytrain parked at Cardiff / Rhoose Airport back in the 60's. Was delivered to BOAC in 1946 and later with BEA in 1947 it was named "Charles Samson". It is seen here in its Cambrian livery sporting the Welsh Dragon.
