Arrived at Southend the previous day, 14th June 1969, on delivery to the Rochford Hundred Flying Group, to whom it was registered 4th July 1969. It replaced their earlier Auster 5D G-ANHX and was operated by that group until it was written off in a non-fatal crash in the Jura Mountains above Chézery, France on 10th August 1972 while en route from Geneva to Macon, with the three occupants sustaining only minor injuries. It was cancelled from the UK Register as 'destroyed' on 3rd October 1972.

Originally destined for New Zealand (as ZK-CHD), this Airtourer was instead delivered as VH-MTB to the Royal Aero Club of South Australia in March 1965. Re-registered as VH-BWI in November 1965. [#AT81] Photo: Bob Livingstone

This Airtourer was built as VH-MVE, but was re-registered as VH-BWG when acquired by RACSA. (In 1998 it was converted to the prototype of the Millicer Aircraft Industries M10-160 Airtourer (still as VH-BWG). [#AT25]

VH-CND was fitted with the factory 115 hp engine when this photo was taken, but was re-engined with a 150 hp engine in 1978. [#AT11]
