TA-4J of VT-22 over the Sierra Nevada Mountains enroute from NAS Alameda, CA. to NAS Kingsville, TX. I took this slide from another VT-22 TA-4J. This flight required a fuel stop at Albuquerque, New Mexico as the TA-4J did not have enough range with adequate fuel reserves to make it in one leg to Kingsville.

Built as a C-60 for the USAAF in 1943 then civilianized and converted to Howard 250 standard with long nose and panoramic windows being the most obvious features. In 1974 it was registered as N100GP.
