A nice little cameo of Amsterdam in the mid 1970s. A Lufthansa Boeing 707 and KLM DC8 and 10s can be seenalong with three Transavia Caravelles.

On March 27th 1977 this aircraft collided with a Pan Am Boeing 747 in fog on the runway at Tenerife. 583 people lost their lives in what is still the world's worst aviation disaster. Both aircraft had been diverted from nearby Las Palmas due to a bomb threat there and this aircraft initated a take-off without permission as N736PA was crossing the runway.

KLM had an interest in Garuda amd this aircraft was leased from October 1973 until 21st March 1975, three days before this photo was taken, which suggests that it was seen here operating a KLM flight
