The best German fighter of the Great War, the D.VII served with many countries after WWI, including the Netherlands, where Anthony Fokker returned, and the USA. This aircraft, German army serial D.436/18, went to the USA but was in civilian hands as N3764, starred in Howard Hughes' air war movie Hell's Angels. From 1954 it was N4729V. The service period of the C-47 with the Koninklijke Luchtmacht or Royal (Netherlands) Air Force was relatively short, the indigenous Fokker F.27 starting to replace it in 1960. A couple of C-47s served in Dutch New Guinea until late 1962. This is actually a Danish machine, ex K-688.

The Dutch air force used eight wheeled Alouette IIs for SAR duties in the early 1960s. This airframe actually belonged to the Belgian army as A29. The real H-4 was sent to Dutch New Guinea (now Indonesian Papua) with a Hunter squadron in 1961.
