Built 1937. Delivered to USAAC on 23 Mar 39 as C-40A 38-545. Regd VH-HID 16 Sep 1987. Sold to Australian Aircraft Sales Feb 89 & used by several operators including John Love at Albury Sep 98. Put in storage at Broken Hill Oct 98. Acquired by Doug Hamilton 9 Aug 07 following the passing of John Conley. Made airworthy and flown to Albury for restoration. Seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in.

This 1975-model Cherokee Six was registered new in Australia on 19 February 1976. It's still in pretty good nick and was visiting the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in from its base at Moorabbin. This rego was formerly worn by a TAA Viscount.

Built to an RAF order and allocated the serial EX423, also USAAF serial 41-33396 for administrative purposes. Shipped directly to New Zealand in Feb '43 and became NZ1024. Sold 1 May '78 to Joe Drage for his museum at Wodonga, arriving Oct. Moved to new premises at Wangaratta Jan '85. Acquired from the Airworld collection '90 by Doug Hamilton for restoration at Albury and registered VH-XNZ 27 Feb '91. Seen here catching the sunrise at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in.

The Aircraft Owner Group was established in 1964 and currently operates this Bonanza out of Hoxton Park. A 1977-model, VH-AHM was registered new in Australia on 5 October that year.

Where once the Viscounts came to train... Originally an RAAF base, Mangalore was developed after the Second World War as a diversion aerodrome for when Melbourne/Essendon was fogged in, its location north of the Great Dividing Range giving it good weather when the weather in Melbourne was bad. The field is still much as it was then. The nearest runway is 05/23, the photo looking east toward the township of Avenel.

'Middleton VC' arriving at the Temora Aviation Museum. This aircraft was noted with the RAAF's Roulettes aerobatic team in 1991, but shortly afterward was allocated to the Forward Air Control Development Unit at RAAF Williamtown. This is the second iteration of the FACDU grey scheme and these aircraft usually get around with tanks on, unlike the trainers. And don't those shark's teeth look good!

First light at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in. This lovely Airedale, one of only 43 built, is still in an authentic factory colour scheme. It was first registered in Australia, new, on 15 March 1963.
