Originally built for the USAAF as 42-3877, this Dakota took part in the D-Day operations on 6 June 1944. In 1946 she joined the fleet of Skandinaviska Aero. The following year Skadinaviska Aero was taken over by AB Aerotransport (ABA) who in turn were merged with SILA-Svensk Interkontinental Lufttrafik AB, a founding member of SAS and serving briefly with that airline before moving on the Swedish Air Force in November 1948 where it served until struck of charge in 1984. Later she served the Swedish parachute regiment and has since 2009 been on display at the regiment's Karlsborg camp.
