Originally built as a Dove 4 and then modified to Dove 6 specs with more powerful engines. It spent the whole of its flying career from 1948 to 1972 based at Stansted Airport checking airport navigational aids and radio communications as well as aircrew training. It amassed a total of 10,597 hours before arriving at the IWM Duxford in 1973. In 1984 it was transferred to the Duxford Aviation Society but remained on display at the IWM. Seen here displayed in IWM's AirSpace.

Delivered new to the Civil Aviation Flying Unit in July 1969 and used for airfield and airway calibration. Transferred to the CAA in April 1972 and displayed here at the 1973 Air Tattoo show.

The Civil Aviation Flying Unit used a number of Doves in the calibration role and this one in the late Seventies was the last to be retired after serving for over twenty-seven years. Now on display at the super National Museum of Flight, East Fortune.

Ownership transferred from the IWM to the Duxford Aviation Society in 1984, but always remained on display at the IWM.
