The port wing is the largest and most instantly recognisable piece of wreckage of Canberra B2 WJ615 which still lies strewn across the 1047 metre high summit in the Grampian Mountains. The aircraft crashed on November 22, 1956 during a night sortie from RAF Upwood. After a practice approach at Kinloss the aircraft headed back south for home but disaster struck when it hit the mountain, sadly killing both crew members. The cause of the accident has never been determined.
