Upgraded F-4E. Former USAF 66-0327. To Israel as 334 in 1973. Later preserved at the Israeli Air Force Museum, Hatzerim.

Delivered in February 1955. According to the regulations, the tail number should have been 50298 from 1954. In Jim Tunney's 1973 colour photo of this airframe, this has changed to 0-50298 according to the clumsy 'older than ten years' rule, which had already been dropped by then. The Kurnass 2000/Super Phantom prototype is former ID/AF F-4E 334 (USAF serial 66-0327). It is now preserved in the Israeli Air force museum at Hatzerim, still wearing all its "Le Bourget"-markings, including its show number 229. Only the 4X-JPA registration has been removed from the aircraft.

This unique F-4E was updated by Israel Aircraft Industries with PW1120 engine in right hand bay and various avionics modifications.This "Super Phantom" project was called Kurnass in 1986 and finally given up in the begining of 90's. It was WFU in May 2000 and currently preserved at Hatzerim IAF Museum.
