Delivered to National Airlines as N276C in 1962. To Aeromexico as XA-DOD in 1973. Withdrawn from use at Mexico City in 1987 and used as a ground trainer. Moved to Itzapalapa police training centre by 2009. Still there in 2023.

Prototype DC-8 first flew as DC-8-11 N8008D in 1958. Converted to a DC-8-51 and first flew as such in 1960. To Trans International Airlines in 1962, Canadian Pacific Air Lines as CF-CPN in 1966, Delta Air Lines as N8008D in 1967 and Aeromexico as XA-DOE in 1979. Stored at Marana, AZ in 1982. Reregistered as N8008D in 1987 but not applied. Scrapped in 2001.

Taken by my late father. He was with RAF 38 Group and was over in Hong Kong to check out the operating procedures of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force. To Trans Caribbean Airways as N8783R on 16 Dec 1963. Merged into American Airlines May 1971 and WFU. To Seaboard World 19 May 1972 - 19 May 1975. To IAS as G-BDDE on 20 Jul 1975. Merged into British Cargo Airlines 15 Aug 1979. To Aeromar as HI-427 on 25 Nov 1983. Merged into Aerochago Airlines Feb 1986. Leased to Interamericana as YV-447C Oct 1988. To N427FB with Agro/Fine Air 05 Apr 1993. To storage at Opa Locka 27Mar 2000 and broken up.

To ONA on 01 Mar 1979. Leased to Saudia Jul 1979 and returned to ONA on 12 Jul 80. To Rosenbalm Aviation on 07 Jan 1982. WFU at Medford Jun 1982 and later scrapped.

Delivered to Seaboard World as N805SW in 1966 then to Universal Airlines as N805U in 1969, Balair as HB-IDU in 1971 and Overseas National Airways as N9110V in 1979 who leased it to various operators. To Eagle Air as TF-AED then to Aereos Transportada de Panama as HP-1088 in 1986, EAS Cargo as 5N-ATS in 1991 and Connie Kalitta as N808CK in 1988 who were renamed to American International Airways in 1991. To Trans Continental in 1996 and reregistered as N183SK in 1997. Withdrawn from use at Detroit-Willow Run in 1999. Scrapped in 2001.

Reg Canx 23 Aug 2013, not sure of current status.

The aircraft has since been scrapped.

Delivered to Air New Zealand in July 1965. Leased to KLM between May - September 1969 as PH-ADA. To Evergreen International Airlines in January 1977 as N801EV. Leased to Northeastern International Airways between March 1982 and February 1984. The aircraft has since been scrapped.

This is a rare shot of N802E as it taxis to the gate while CV440 N4813C waits to depart. This DC-8 crashed near MSY on March 30, 1967 while on a crew training flight. All 6 on board perished, as did 7 on the ground. Scanned from an original slide by Stefano Pagiola.
