This Yas'ur is former US Marine Corps BuNo 154863. The Sea Stallion was stored at AMARC with inventory code 2J034 from 08 May 1987 up to 12 July 1991. The massive helicopter was officially stricken in the US on 5 December 1990 and most probably in that month, the IDF selected the CH-53A. The Sea Stallion was delivered to the IDF on 16 September 1991. As a Yas'ur it was previsously assigned serial 877 and 477 within the IDF. The helicopter was eventually upgraded to Yas'ur 2000 and later to Yas'ur 2025.
