The massive helicopter was officially stricken in the US on 5 December 1990 and most probably in that month, the IDF selected the CH-53A. The Sea Stallion was delivered to the IDF on 16 September 1991. As a Yas'ur it was previsously assigned serial 877 and 477 within the IDF. The helicopter was eventually upgraded to Yas'ur 2000 and later to Yas'ur 2025.

This aircraft was bult as a Kfir C1, modified to C1P and leased to the US Navy as F-21A with serial 999726 (with Fighter Squadron 43 as AD-06 and operated from NAS Oceana from mid-1985 to March 1988) . After the lease contract ended, the Kfir returned to Israel and was placed in storage at Tel Aviv-Ben Gurion from April 2001 to May 2006. It is known as preserved at Rishon-Le-Tsiyon with the Israeli Centre for Sport Aviation since May 2008. Note the two Syrian kills on the nose. It is not known if these are actual kills of 726.
