The aircraft was never with the USAF and its last civilian registration was N1005C, when it flew for Capitol International Airways. Retired in 1967, it was converted to a cocktail lounge in Penndel, PA. It was disassembled and donated to the AMC Museum in 1997. Its fake military serial number 40315 (54-0315) was assigned to a Northrop F-89H "Scorpion" fighter aircraft.
