This former Libyan Air Force SF260 (ex serial 344) was donated by Khadaffi in 2006. The aircraft was seriously damaged on 12 December 1989 in Libyan service, but repaired. So Khadaffi knew what he was given away :-).

Chad bought four Mi-35s, on top of the seven or eight Mi-24Vs they bought earlier from the Ukraine. They were not lucky with the Hind in their inventory. One Mi-24V crashed in April 2006, two former Ukrainian Mi-24Vs were written off in 2007 and dumped at N'Djamena, and another Mi-24V was written off in 2008. Chad bought four Mi-35s, on top of the seven or eight Mi-24Vs they bought earlier from Ukraine. They were not lucky with the Hind in their inventory. One Mi-24V crashed in April 2006, two former Ukrainian Mi-24Vs were written off in 2007 and dumped at N'Djamena, and another Mi-24V was written off in 2008. Of the four Mi-35s, one crashed in 2008 and one was damaged due to a storm in 2017. This Mi-35 TT-OAR is a lucky one and still flies.
