This beautiful Gulfstream II was seized by the Ecuadorian Air Force long time ago and it started flying for the air force after several years stored at Latacunga. It was used as VIP aircraft for the General Commander of the Air Force. But, the right emergency exit window broke in mid air and it affected the engine too, even though we won't see this plane flying again for some time, luckily the engine and the rest of the parts had warranty so the plane is scheduled to have maintenance at any time. While we were boarding our flight to Medellín for the F-Air Colombia 2023, by a great struck of luck I spotted this gorgeous plane taxiing and about 3 seconds later I was taking this picture, which was probably one of the highlights during my stopover at BOG. Finally this airframe is wearing the new Aeroregional livery, resting at the remote apron after a day of flying through Ecuador. As you may see the Avior / GCA Airlines livery is still seen on the landing gear door and on the red stripe on the tail and this livery of Aeroregional doesn't have the distinctive white stripes in between tricolor as the other B737s from the fleet. This plane flew in the past with Piedmont, US Air and US Airways as N424US, then to NewGen Airways as HS-NGA and later it was going to be part of GCA Airlines with an unknown registration but this never happened.

The newest plane for Aeroregional, a B735 in BBJ configuration, still in the colours of its previous operator (ex HZ-FM1). It will be used by the Ecuadorian airline to transport soccer teams abroad. What an extremely rare catch!! A civilian Robinson R66 at La Balbina Army Brigade. I couldn't believe that that this special visitor ended up landing at 8534 ft and on a military heliport. Being prepared for a flight to Ambato (SEAM) after flying from some helipad in Santo Domingo that same morning. This same chopper suffered a crash on August 29, 2020 at Manta during an engine test but it was repaired. Special thanks to everyone involved on this special "express" spotting.
