This one made me arrive 1 hour late to my institute, but it was totally worth it. One of the rarest and most beautiful catch of the year, for the first time here, Air Class' B727 rocketing out of UIO on its way to BOG as QLC4564. It came all the way from Uruguay, making some several-days stopovers at EZE, SCL, and LIM between November 6th and 11th. After BOG, this B727 flew to SJO, then back to its base at MVD via LIM. Ex- N4555E, USAir N773AL & N763US, ATA Airlines & Astar Air Cargo N763AT, Rio Linhas Aéreas & Sideral Air Cargo PR-IOB.

For the first time, a Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner has landed in Ecuador, and now all the variants of the B787 have arrived at least once in our country. I don't really know the reason why KLM decided to bring the B78X instead of the regular B772, but it sure has its background since for more than a year the Dutch airline has the B787-10 as part of its flight permit in Ecuador. Here, KLM 755 from Amsterdam on short final to runway 36.

This was the last ATR-42 of the old Ecuadorian airline that was still in the country and that day it was taken to Medellín as N849AV for its new owner. A VERY exotic visitor here. Gulfstream of the Algerian Government arriving at Quito with Ibrahim Boughali, the assembly president of Algeria on board. He came to participate on the posession of the new president of Ecuador Daniel Noboa, elected after the ex president Lasso dissolved the assembly and called for new elections for the rest of the period. It flew all the way from ALG with stopovers at SMA and PTP before arriving to UIO. The day after the possesion, the plane departed towards PTP, then to LIS and finally it arrived back in Algers.

A VERY exotic visitor here. Gulfstream of the Algerian Government arriving at Quito with Ibrahim Boughali, the assembly president of Algeria on board. He came to participate on the posession of the new president of Ecuador Daniel Noboa, elected after the ex president Lasso dissolved the assembly and called for new elections for the rest of the period. It flew all the way from ALG with stopovers at SMA and PTP before arriving to UIO. The day after the possesion, the plane departed towards PTP, then to LIS and finally it arrived back in Algers.

The Minister of Interior of Germany, Nancy Faeser, visited us in Quito with this Airbus A319CJ on a tour that took her through Brasilia, Lima, Quito and finally Bogotá. "GAF813" landing in Quito from Lima after a go-around that saved us from losing this shot miserably. This same plane (15+02) arrived at this same airport and at Latacunga's Airport for altitude training back in August 2017.
