Only months after it was stricken from operational service, this Neptune was stored at the south end of homebase NAS Valkenberg. It was delivered to the Marione Luchtvaartdienst (MLD, Dutch Naval Aviation) on 16 January 1962 as a P-2V-7B. The long range maritime patrol aircraft was converted to SP-2H and returned to service until June 1982. After storage at Valkenburg, it was donated to the KLM instruction school on 16 November 1983. It later went for preservation with the Aviodrome aviation museum at Lelystad.

Former US Navy BuNo 146438 and former French Aéronavale Neptune was accepted by the Dutch on 25 October 1965 as P2V-7B (P-2H). It was converted to SP-2H and assigned to 320sq at NAS Valkenburg. The Neptune was stricken on 28 August 1981 and scrapped at Soesterberg. Some parts went to the Military Aviation Musuem and some part to a technical university in Delft. Luckily it was still in full shape during the open day at Soesterberg before it was scrapped.

A low quality picture, but interesting enough for an upload. Already on its belly, before it was was sadly scrapped. This once P2V-7B (P-2H_ was delivered to the Dutch Marine Luchtvaartdienst (MLD, Dutch Naval Aviation) on 27 September 1961. It was first delivered to 321 squadron and carried tailcode B. It was converted to SP-2H and assigned to 320sq. The aircraft was stricken on 21 September 1980 and scrapped by December 1983.

Later named Amen! 122466 was back at its US base Patuxent River when it was ordered back to Antarctica to search for a missing UC-1 Otter. 122466 crashed on February 8, 1956, in Venezuela following a double engine failure. One of 24 Neptunes operated by the RAAF and among a batch of 12 of the later SP-2Hs delivered in 1962 to 10 Sqdn at Townsville, Qld. It was operated in the ASR role and flew the last mission by an RAAF Neptune at the end of November 1977. Sold to a scrapper in 1978, it was not removed in time and passed to a private buyer, restored to flight during 1981 and bought by HARS in 1988. Repainted in original midnight blue 1991 and to Albion Park 2002 with J34s fitted. On 24th Dec 2023, flown again after two-year restoration, now the only flying P-2 in the world.
