On final approach to 28L at Heathrow this 727 served Lufthansa from new in 1968 to 1977. It was later converted to a freighter with DHL as N703DH and was retired in 2001. Scanned from a slide.

Air Tungaru from Kiribati operated this 727 on lease from Evergreen from February to June 1981.

"Wuppertal" was a quick-change Boeing 727-30C seen here on a passenger service at Heathrow. Operated by Lufthansa from April 1967 until sale to Evergreen in January 1979. Other 727's of Olympic and Air France are in the background.

Christened Europa Jet "Aachen" for Lufthansa in 1967, this classic 727 would go to Transair Sweden in 1979. In 1981 Detroit's Nomads Travel Club bought and put many miles on it before replacing their aircraft with a 727-200 model in 1993. This one was first re-registered N727MJ so the old registration could be transferred to their new 727-200. It went on to Brazil as PP-ITP, then in 1999 ending up with Transafrik International (S9-BAG), who put it into storage at Upington, South Africa in 2007.

Classic shape, classic colours. New to LH in 3.67 and bought by ATASCO Leasing in 12.78 as EP-AMU (ntu), becoming OO-TJN and 4X-AGJ before purchase by Transjet in 11.80 as OO-ATJ. To Jet East as N727JE in 1.84 and used by DHL from 8.87, registered N701DH in 8.90. Sold to Cosmos Colombia as HK-4407 in 4.06 and was one of two 727 freighters with this new company, but scrapped (as N727NA) in 2014
