Was previously on Toul-Rosières. The emblem of WWI SPA 153, one of the two tradition units forming EC 1/3 "Navarre", is still vaguely recongnizable on the fin. The 3ème EC (3rd fighter wing) began to operate the Mirage IIIE in 1965, and was based in Nancy from 1967.

The IAF used the Fouga Magister, locally designated as Tzukit, as basic jet trainer. This one was seen at the sun shed covered flightline of home base Hatzerim. The Tzukits were withdrawn from use within the IAF by the T-6A Texan II by June 2010.

One of the Patrouille de France aircraft arriving for the Woodford Airshow held the following day. This was my place of work where photography was forbidden, a rule most people ignored the day before the Airshow. The slide has faded really badly but has recovered to an almost unbelievable degree with the miracle of Photoshop.
