Support aircraft for the Vimy replica NX71MY on its reenactment of the 1919 flight from the UK to Australia. Its arrival back at its base at Oakey was the last operational flight of an Australian military Nomad. Only ferrying and test flights followed. -408 had been delivered less than a year earlier. It is now held by the Army aviation museum at Oakey.

When A18-408 landed back at its base at Oakey, Queensland, it was the last service flight by an Australian Army/RAAF Nomad. Only ferry and test flights carried out. -408 had been in Army service less than a year when it was withdrawn. At the time of the photo it was being used as a training aid at Archerfield.
