Built in 1967 for Northwest Airlines but NTU and went to Piedmont Air Lines instead. Acquired by KFC in 1987 and here on an overnight freight run that went technical by the look of it. Cancelled in 2009 having previously been scrapped.

Powell Air flew single engine aircraft and a couple of Piper Navajos when they were awarded a scheduled route between Powell River and Vancouver BC. They bought this Convair from Kelowna Flightcraft in 1981. The aircraft would leave their fleet in 1985 and go to the USA in 1987 as N204RA . Powell Air would merge with Air BC's Port Hardy operations in 1987 to form Pacific Coastal Airlines.

This aircraft hauled a lot of mail when Purolator Courier had the contract with Canada Post. It still carries the Purolator basic livery. The scrapper came for it a short while after this photo was taken.

From a cancelled order, this Convair went to the German Air Force 1962 - 74 via the Hughes Tool Company. Kelowna Flightcraft bought it in late 1979 for their charter operations. It was sold to Powell Air when that airline received Powell River to Vancouver authority in the summer of 1981. Returning to the USA as N204RA in May 1987, the airliner operated for Renown Aviation and later Laredo Air, before withdrawn and stored, first in Opa Locka, FL and moved to Roswell, NM circa 2000.

This first 727-100C was ordered by Northwest, but NTU. Delivered to Piedmont in 1967 and also flying with Braniff, Dominicana, and Faucett before coming to Canada in 1987. This was the early Purolator color scheme. The registration was also one of Kelowna Flightcraft's favorites, used on a Convair 440, a DC-3, this 727 and most recently a Cessna 172.
