With the recent news that KF Aerospace was awarded Purolator's BC Feeder Network contract for another 10 years, the writing is now on the wall for the venerable Convair 580. The fleet is now down to just three aircraft which include one Convair CV-5800 (C-GKFS) and two Convair CV-580s (C-GKFG and C-GKFF). KF will be replacing the Convair fleet with three ATR 72-500Fs. Two of which will be containerized and the third being Bulk load. The ATR fleet is expected to replace the Convair's in early to mid 2025.

Delivered new to Pan American in 1954 as a CV340 then converted to CV580 by North Central in 1968. Registered to Kelowna Flightcraft Charter at this time and carrying their fleet number, but no other titles. Still registered to KFC in 2023.

A Convair 340 that was delivered to Pan American World Airways in May 1954, this aircraft would go to LACSA Costa Rica a year later. North Central Airlines would buy it in November 1960 and convert the airliner to a Convair 580 in 1968. Next to Gulf Air Transport in March 1986 before coming to Canada with Kelowna Flightcraft in November 1988. Pictured flying for Purolator Courier, it is still current at the time of uploading.

Built for Pan Am in 1954, imported by Kelowna Flightcraft in 1988 and here on lease to Trans-Provincial. In 2021 it was back in service with KFC.

Shortly after this picture was taken re-registered TG-CGO and a year later became YV-501C.
