This magnificent aircraft is in totally original condition, unrestored and all the better for it. It was built in London in 1918 by Waring and Gillow who were well known high-quality British Furniture makers. The DH-9 was derived from the earlier DH-4 and with a more powerful engine. This type inaugurated cross-English Channel postal services in late 1918.
