With a non standard cockpit top

Registered to the Board of Trade in 1955 and here wearing an non-standard paint scheme (light areas are Dayglo) and an almost illegible registration that suggests an experimental livery or use as a film prop? This was rectified by 1966 and the aircraft was withdrawn at Stansted in March 1981. Here looking the worse for wear, but destined to be preserved at the East Midlands Aeropark.

I've come to it late but finding and photographing these old hulks, wrecks and relics, and the individual history behind them, is immensely satisfying. This Dove at least as a bright future as it will be restored to her former glory at the Aeropark.
