In Channel Airways rather lack-lustre colour scheme, showing its ex-Olympic Airways origins. Purchased by Channel in February 1970. Sold to Dan-Air in April 1972 following the collapse of Channel Airways in February 1972. Stored with the Science Museum at Wroughton in 2022.

Registered as G-APYD before delivery to Olympic Airways as SX-DAL in 1960. To BEA as G-APYD in 1969, Channel Airways in 1970 and Dan-Air in 1972. To the Science Museum for preservation at Wroughton in 1979.

Dan-Air Comet G-APYD and British Airways Trident G-AWZM hidden away in a very cramped storage hangar of the Science Museum at Wroughton. Both aircraft were complete and in excellent condition. This Comet was first delivered in May 1960 (to Olympic as SX-DAL) and withdrawn from use by Dan-Air on 23 Oct 1979. A week later, on 1 Nov 1979, it was flown from London-Gatwick to Wroughton on delivery to the museum.
