This Dove was delivered to De Havilland in August 1960 and wenyt on to fly with Hawker Siddeley Aviation and then British Aerospace. It came to the DHAHC around 2000 for preservation.

Registered as G-AREA in 1960, Used as a company aircraft by De Havilland who merged into to Hawker Siddeley in 1963 who merged into British Aerospace in 1977. Withdrawn from use at Hatfield in 1987. To the De Havilland Museum at London Colney in 2000.

First registered in 1960 and stayed as a de Havilland/Hawker-Siddeley/British Aerospace company aircraft its entire life. In 2022 it is on display at the de Havilland Aircraft Museum as here.

G-AREA served as a corporate transport for Hawker Siddeley and subsequently BAe for many years.

Ever since it was first delivered in Aug 1960, this Dove has been a De Havilland / Hawker Siddeley / British Aerospace company aircraft. It was finally withdrawn from use in Sep 1987 and stored at Hatfield. It was transferred to the de Havilland Aircraft Museum Trust on 16 Mar 1995, but not actually delivered to the museum until some time in the second half of 2000. At the time the museum was still called the Mosquito Aircraft Museum / de Havilland Aircraft Heritage Centre, but in January 2014 they changed their name to the much more appropriate de Havilland Aircraft Museum.
