Operated by Lanzair from the Channel Islands, came in for work with John Coggins, someone had rammed the cargo door with a forklift truck, the cargo plates had not been fitted fully and the plugs were changed. Lanzair operated a few flights into Coventry but went into decline after Discofruit sued them for non delivery of perishable goods.

TWA operated this Constellation as the "Star of Delaware" from 1950 - 1967. Pictured with Central American Airways who would fly the aircraft between 1967 - 1973 after which it was leased to World Citizens International, a travel club. Bought by CIM Associates in late 1974, the airliner was impounded at Lome, Togo on November 1976 when it landed with mechanical problems. While being made airworthy again, a mysterious fire broke out onboard and the fuselage burned out on October 22, 1977. The aircraft remains were used for fire training.

"World Citizens International" travel club is the third livery in which I've photographed this Connie. Four years later she was destroyed in a fire in Togo. The TWA stripe reflects her career as N6014C with that airline.
