Flight 50 markings for a round the world flight to celebrate Pan Am's 50th anniversary in 1977. First flew as N40135 in 1975. Delivered to Pan Am as N533PA in 1976. To United and reregistered as N143UA in 1986. Withdrawn from use at Ardmore, OK in 1995 and scrapped in 1997. First 747SP to be scrapped.

The accompanying text reads: "Delivery of the first 747SP for Pan Am On the first flight from Seattle (KSEA) to New York, the aircraft already transported cargo. In this photo you can see 2 other 747SP's being prepared for delivery; the second aircraft for Pan Am (N532PA), the first 747SP for Iran Air (EP-IAA) and the first 747SP for South African (ZS-SPD). At that time, 17 747SP's were ordered." Amusingly the text calls this aircraft the '747SP Junior Jumbo'. Delivered to United in February 1986 as N143UA. Withdrawn from use in August 1995, scrapped at Ardmore (KADM) late 1997/early 1998.

"Clipper San Francisco" under tow to Terminal 3. It still wore its Pan Am 50th Anniversary logo at this stage.

N533PA was later renamed Clipper Young America. The construction in the background was for the Port Botany seaport.

The best a Pan Am SP ever looked - quite a rare shot in the billboard scheme. D/d 5.3.76; to United as N143UA 3.86 and broken up for spares at Ardmore, OK, 3.96
