Photographed wearing the partial livery of its previous operator Otis Spunkmeyer Air / Sentimental Journeys. Built in 1938 as a civil DC-3 it was taken over by the USAAC as C-41 38-502 and served as a VIP transport. Post-war it had a number of civilian operators, but in the early 1990s it was re-registered N41HQ and returned to its military polished metal scheme. Wearing the registration NC41HQ it came to Europe in the Spring of 1994 to take part in the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the D-Day landings. It is now displayed at the Mid American Flight Museum at Mount Pleasant, TX.
