Delivered to United Air Lines as CV340-31 N73121 in 1952. To Frontier Airlines in 1959 and converted to a CV580 in 1964. To other operators from 1979 then to Sierra Pacific Airlines in 1982. Scrapped in 1995.

Originally a Convair 340 delivered to United Airlines in 1952, Sierra Pacific Airlines bought this Convair 580 in November 1982. Pictured on a short lease to Trans Provincial Airlines (May to September 1990), the aircraft was eventually retired in 1995 and the registration cancelled.

With sister-ship N73157 on the right, this pristine 580 is being prepared for lease to American Eagle/Wings West.

Flying as a 340 with United Airlines christened "Newark" from 1952 to 1959, Gem State acquired this 580 from Frontier Airlines. They would quickly merge with Air Pacific (USA) to form Golden Gate Airlines and a year later merge with Swift Aire before closing the doors. This Convair went to Sierra Pacific, who occasionally leased it out, until the registration was cancelled in 1995.
