Delivered to the RCAF as 22111 in 1953. Sold as N8093 in 1970. To Hawkins and Powers Aviation in 1976 and converted to a fire bomber with jet pack and fleet number 140. Flown to Hagerstown, MD in 2008 for preservation at the Hagerstown Air Museum.

Operated as Tanker 140, withdrawn by 1991. Took part in 1999 EAA Oshkosh Fly In. Hagerstown Aviation Museum 2006, flown to Hagerstown, MD, location of the fomer Fairchild plant, 12 to 16 November 2008.

The Boxcar was donated to the hagerstown Aviation Museum in Dec 2006, but it took two more years before delivery could take place. It departed Greybull on 12 Nov 2008 and arrived at the museum four days later, on 16 Nov 2008. This was the last flight of a C-119 Flying Boxcar worldwide.

Wow, such a powerful aircraft! Former RCAF 22111 looks like she's ready to fly out over vast prairies on her way north for another Arctic resupply mission. If only that were still the case... HP badge on the nose, N8093 has been on the register with D&G since August 2000.

Stored for many years at Greybull, WY, this aircraft was bought by Robert Stanford, president of Zenith Aviation, who donated it to the Hagerstown Aviation Museum in 2006. After two years and $95,000 the aircraft was ready for its ferry flight to Hagerstown, where it arrived on 16 November 2008. Still has the small Hawkins & Powers Aviation logo on the nose.
