Originally N7049U with United Airlines. Also N31KA Key Airlines and YV-90C Avensa. Acquired by LACSA 14 May 87. Written off 23 May 88 when it ran off the runway after an aborted take-off at San Jose, Costa Rica. All survived. From ASN: "The takeoff was abandoned after V1 because the aircraft wouldn't rotate. The aircraft overran runway 07, collided with a fence, crossed a ditch, struck a hill and caught fire. PROBABLE CAUSE: Excess weight in the front cargo hold displaced the centre of gravity to the forward limit. Two additional trim units would have been required for takeoff".
