VH-TRT was one of six tugs at the competition. It is so far the only Transavia to be fitted with a tow hook. Don't be deceived by its pristine condition because TRT continues to be used for agricultural work spreading urea and superphosphate.

This is the second PL-12 to be registered VH-TRT. The first was withdrawn from use in 1986 while in the US and eventually ended up on US register. The second VH-TRT was first registered as VH-UJA in 1979 and exported to New Zealand in 1983. It returned in 1989 as VH-AVG then became VH-TRT in 2002. When seen at Temora it looked like it had just rolled out of the factory.

Not a pretty plane, but it's functional. It's an Australian crop duster design and in this photo you can see the spray bars. The photo was taken at Woodland, CA when this company demonstrator was on a sales tour. It was later registered N12PL.
