VH-TRT was one of six tugs at the competition. It is so far the only Transavia to be fitted with a tow hook. Don't be deceived by its pristine condition because TRT continues to be used for agricultural work spreading urea and superphosphate.

This is the second PL-12 to be registered VH-TRT. The first was withdrawn from use in 1986 while in the US and eventually ended up on US register. The second VH-TRT was first registered as VH-UJA in 1979 and exported to New Zealand in 1983. It returned in 1989 as VH-AVG then became VH-TRT in 2002. When seen at Temora it looked like it had just rolled out of the factory.

VH-JSS a week after it crashed on October 15 while doing agricultural work near Port Pirie, South Australia. It was not repaired. The Airtruk was designed to be especially crashworthy and in this accident the pilot escaped without injury.

VH-JSS was one of a small number of Transavia Airtruks assembled in New Zealand and given New Zealand MSNs. It was registered ZK-TRR in April 1983 and exported to Australia in 1987. JSS crashed near Port Pirie, South Australia, on October 15, 1994, when it snared a power line while doing agricultural work.
