This is in fact a Fokker F.XI, but it was restored as a replica of the first aircraft flown by Ansett Airways (Fokker Universal VH-UTO, c/n 422). Its remains were acquired from a playground in Graz, Austria and it was shipped to Australia for restoration in 1974. Roll-out of the restored replica was on 28 Nov 1974, and it now resides in the Sir Reginald Ansett Transport Museum, Hamilton. This Fokker F.XI was built in 1929 and first registered in Switzerland as CH-188 on 8 Jun 1929, reregd. HB-ALO in 1934. To OE-DAA in 1954 and damaged in a ground collision in 1959 and wfu.
