Seen at Bulawayo Airport a little over a year after sister ship VP-WAS was shot down by a heat-seeking missile on depature from Kariba operating RH825 on 3 September 1978. Following the second shoot down of an Air Rhodesia Viscount, VP-YND, on 12 February 1979, the airline painted their Viscounts in a drab grey anti-missile colour scheme and added exhaust deflectors to minimize the heat signature of the engine exhaust.
