The Aviation Technical Museum first exhibits were aircraft which required maintenance and had been sent to Luhansk Aircraft Repair Plant. Some aircraft remained there, and subsequently were written from use and preserved for display in the museum. This Ka-27PL is displayed in the colours of the Ukrainian navy.

One of the first Ka-27, built in 1979, was tranferred from the Soviet Union to Ukraine in 1992 with serial 03 yellow, later changed to 03 red.

On board the Russian Navy frigate RFS Yaroslav Mudry (727).

Sub-hunter tied down to the helo deck of Pacific Fleet's 8,404-ton fl. Udaloy-class destroyer 548 Admiral Panteleyev. The ASW helicopter can carry 800 kg armament that includes torpedoes, depth charges or bombs. Maximum endurance is 5.2 hours.

This Ukraine Navy pilot shortly displayed the manoeuvrablility of his Ka-27PL of the Saks'ka Aviatsiya Brigada (SABr), the naval air component of the Ukraine Navy. The Helikopter Eskadrily of the SABr operated four Ka-27s during our visit. The Ka-27s can be based on board the Ukrainian flag ship, the Krivak III-class fregat "Hetman Sahaidachnyi" (U130). The SABr inventory knows two variants of the Ka-27, de PL in use for Anti-Surface/Submarine Warfare (ASW) and the PS in use for the Search and Recue mission and transport.
