Registered as N96449 with Waig Aircraft Inc on 12 Dec 1975, Crashed on 02 Dec 1980 returning to Tucson from Ryan Field after being released from fire fighting duties. Registration cancelled on 15 Apr 1982.

Sadly, this aircraft, with its two crew, was lost in a crash immediately after take-off from Fairbanks, Alaska on 23 April 2024. By then, it was the last DC-4 flying commercially in the USA.
