Delivered to Avensa in 1967. Sold to Emerald Air in 1983 - used on Continental's Houston Proud Express service, hence here seen still with the tail colors from this period. Served for 2 years with Braniff before soldiering on in Mexico with Estrellas del Aire as XA-SKA, later also with Allegro Airlines (in ABACO colors) and Aerocaribe. Stored at MEX in 1999 - since April 2011 used as a library at Ecatepec park in "Aero Ecatepec" colors (photographer unknown)

The colours of this DC-9 are that of its last operator, Aerocaribe, and if you look closely you could also see vaguely registration XA-SKA just above the windows on the rear fuselage. It was withdrawn from use in December 1999 and since 2011 found a new home in a park in Ecatepec just north of Mexico City.

After services with its last operator Aerocaribe, this DC-9 was put into storage, before being refurbished and moved to Ecatepec in the northern part of Mexico City around 2011. It is now used as a public library, and it could be seen on google earth in 2021.

Wears "Continental's Houston Proud Express' titles when in use operating a shuttle connecting service between Houston's International and Hobby Airports. Originally YV-C-AVR with Avensa in 05.67. Stored at Mexico City as XA-SKA in 12.99.

Was YV-C-AVR, then YV-57C with Avensa.

Former Viasa and Avensa DC-9 (YV-C-AVR) was acquired by Emerald in June 1983. Exported to Mexico as XA-SKA in 1994, it's stored at Mexico City at the time of uploading.

Delivered new to West Coast Airlines in August 1967. Merged into Air West on 18 April 1968. Renamed Hughes Airwest 1 July 1970. To Texas International on 24 October 1975 and written off at Denver Stapleton on 16 November 1976.

Short fuselage Douglas DC-9-14 delivered to Viasa on 10 May 1967, transferred to AVENSA in 1975.
