This L-39 was built in August 1976 and TOC by the Czechoslovak AF. In July 1996, L-39C 4357 and L-39V 0745 collided during training of the acrobatic group White Albatross. The L-39C pilots ejected safely and their plane crashed in an industrial zone in ​​Košice. The pilot of 0745 landed at LZKZ despite extensive damage to the rear fuselage. The frame was repaired, retired in 2007, stored and is now undergoing restoration for display. Either these are parts replaced during the original repair or, perhaps more likely, have been replaced during the ongoing restoration. More info always welcome.

It is now undergoing restoration for display at this super museum.

This L-39 was built in July 1976 and commissioned into the Czechoslovak AF. After the split of countries the plane served with the Slovaks until August 2006.

Originally this L-39 wore the same scheme as 0735 (tail visible on the left) in this museum. Recently it had been stripped to the bare metal and the museum are in the process of applying primer before it receives a new scheme for display.

There was one prototype plus eight production aircraft built of the L-39V (V for Vlečná - tug), a single-seat target tug version for Czechoslovakia, that was equipped with a 1,700 m (5,600 ft) cable to tow a KT-04 target. This example was TOC in 1976 with the 1st Air School Regiment, retired in December 1992 and now on display at the super Muzeum Letecké a Pozemní Techniky.

On display at Luftwaffenmuseum Gatow. These aircraft served as advanced jet trainers and in the target towing role with Fliegerausbildungsgeschwader 25 (FAG-25) at Bautzen and Zieldarstellungskette 33 (ZDK-33) at Peenemünde. This aircraft was one of two used by ZDK-33 of the NVA from 1980 to 1990 for target towing, in which the rear cockpit contained a cable drum.

A pair of Albatroses are on display at the Vyskov Aviation Museum.
