The S-3B was temporarily located just outside Hangar Bay One to make room for a USCG ceremony being held inside. The numeral "1" after "Navy" on the fuselage is in recognition of this S-3 being the only USN a/c to have carried a sitting President of the U.S., that being George W. Bush. The a/c was transferred to the museum in 2003.

This is the S-3 that flew then President Bush aboard the Lincoln and became NAVY 1, the only such time a Naval aircraft was designated as such. The S-3's final paint scheme differs somewhat as when it flew Bush on board in May 2003. The aircraft was retired July of that year to the Naval Museum at Pensacola.
