Carried out a very spirited display at the 1974 Air Tattoo. Preserved in the National Museum of the US Air Force, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

Static at Greenham Common's 1974 International Air Tattoo, but about to start all six engines and taxi to perform a spirited flying display, including passing with its boom lowered. Then in operational service with the 145ARS of the 160ARW, Ohio Air Guard. Now an exhibit at the National Museum of the US Air Force, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

On display at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. The C-97 Stratofreighter was the modified cargo/transport version of the B-29. Of the 890 aircraft ordered by USAF, 816 were KC-97 tankers with a tail boom, and the L-model was fitted with two J47 turbojet engines on underwing pylons. This aircraft was flown by 160th Air Refueling Group (ARG) of the Ohio ANG and was christened "Zeppelinheim" by the mayor of that German town during Op. Creek Party, the aerial refueling of NATO forces in Europe.
