Painted in a classic Lufthansa c/s with fake registration D-CADE, ex N8041A. Lufthansa's original D-CADE was c/n 27108/15663 and operated between 1955 and 1960.

Delivered to the USAAF as 43-48189 then to the RAF as KG773 in 1944. Sold as G-AKLL in 1947 then to Iberia EC-AEU in 1950 and the Spanish Air Force as T.3-62 in 1966. Sold as N8041A in 1979. Preserved at Stuttgart from 1980 and then Sinsheim from 1986. Marked as D-CADE from 1992.

Operated by Gatwick-based Hornton Airways from November 1947 until sale in June 1950 to Iberia as EC-AEU, then Spanish AF T.3-62. Later became N8041A and preserved at Sinsheim as 'D-CORA', then 'D-CADE', and finally without registration and with silly 'Museum Airlines' titles.
