Landing on runway 08. Arista were a short lived US airline. To SAS as OY-KTE on 29 Feb 1968. Lsd to Scanair 24 Oct 1979. Lsd to Arista 23 Jan 1983. Lsd to Northeast International Aw 10 Dec 1983. Bought by Thai Airways International 06 Oct 1984. To the Thai Air Force as 60112 on 02 Sep 1985. To N799AL 24 May 1989 and lsd to Arrow Air from 25 Sep 1989. Lsd to Hawaiian Al from 22 Dec 1989. Further leases to Air Marshall Islands, Arrow Air, Zantop and to ATI 31 Jul 1998. Operated the last ever DC-8 passenger flight on 26 May 2012. Ferried to Barbar's Point Aviation Museum - Oahu on 17 May 2013.

Initially OY-KTE with SAS Scandinavian Airlines System, this 1968 DC-8 was leased by Thai Airways in October 1985. Bought off lease for the Royal Thai Air Force the next year, it's pictured on a rare visit to Canada. Sold to International Air Leases in June 1989, it was registered N799AL. Flown by Arrow Air, Hawaiian Airlines, Zantop International and Air Transport International through the '90s, the classic jetliner was flown to Hawaii in 2013 and preserved at the Barber's Point Aviation Museum .

Leased to Arista for 1983, this DC-8 joined SAS back in 2.68 and became 60112 with the R Thai AF 9.85 (see my shot at LHR), having been leased by Thai since 10.84. Became N799AL with Arrow in 9.89 and leased by Hawaiian, Air Marshall Islands, Zantop and latterly ATI from 7.98. Ferried to Barber's Point Aviation Museum, HI 17.5.13

Looking resplendent in her newly-applied R Thai AF uniform on a rare visit to London, this DC-8 was formerly SAS's OY-KTE (see notes with my upload as such)

60112 brought the Crown Prince of Thailand for a royal visit. The DC-8 was sold as N799AL in 1989.

At the time, this DC-8-62 "combi" was preserved at the Naval Air Museum Barbers Point near the southwestern corner of Oahu. In this configuration, the aircraft has a large cargo section up front and a smaller passenger compartment with six rows of seats in back. Sadly, the museum closed in 2020.
