This aircraft was caught at Bruntingthorpe and was undergoing maintenance. It was bound for Australia and it flew from America. One of the famous Barnum Circus family members was involved and think he may have been one of the pilots/engineers taking it there...

Registration cancelled in January 2018 and the aircraft is now a non-flying exhibit at the Caboolture Warplane and Flight Heritage Museum, Caboolture, Queensland, Australia.

First registered N5297C on 30 Jan 51. Later N5V, N66W, N8614A, N50W, N250W - and that only takes us to 1955! In 1963 given G18S picture windows, E18S wingtips, airstair, Volpar trigear. N2500 on 6 April 64. Lots of different owners since and currently based at Redcliffe, Qld. Seen here at the Wide Bay International Airshow.
