Delivered to Saturn Airways as N8955U in 1967. To Seaboard World Airways in 1975 then to Trans International Airlines in 1977 and Flying Tiger Line as N862FT in 1978. To United Parcel Service, converted to a DC-8-71CF then reregistered as N748UP in 1985. Damaged beyond repair by a fire in the cargo area at Philadelphia, PA in 2006 and scrapped.

slide scan from the NK collection. - Saturn had three DC-8-61CF's and used them between 1967 and 1975. N8955U found its final operator in 1985: UPS bought it and converted it into a version -71F. It was flown as N748UP on regular freight services until 08/FEB/2006, when it arrived at Philadelphia PA with fire on board; the DC-8 burnt out after the emergency landing.

Saturn Airways aircraft leased to Seaboard World Airlines and which they sub-leased to EFS Bahamas. The red cheatline is that of Saturn Airways and the tail colours/logo are those of EFS Bahamas.

Originally deliverd to Saturn Airways, this DC-8 was added to the Trans International fleet when Transamerican Corporation bought Saturn in late 1976.
